Artist In Residence
Artist in Residence

Rob Froese is Moose Jaw's Artist-in-Residence in ceramics. Based out of a studio in the new
Cultural Centre, he will be teaching classes, setting up a ceramics studio, and invigorating the
visual art and ceramics activity in this community. Born and raised in Moose Jaw, with a B.F.A.
from the University of Regina, and a B.A. from the University of Saskatchewan, Rob has just
returned from Japan where he worked for seven years as a ceramics artist.

An Opening Reception for a retrospective exhibition of works by Rob Froese will be held on
Wednesday, September 29, 7:00 p.m. at the Moose Jaw Cultural Centre.

Intermediate to advance level classes will be held at the Cultural Centre. Class fees are
$125/class, which includes instruction, clay, glaze and firing. Register for these classes
at the Moose Jaw Museum & Art Gallery.

Wheel Throwing Clay Class
Tuesdays, Oct 5 to 19

Hand Building Clay Class
Tuesdays, Nov 2 to 16
7:00 to 9:30 p.m.

Studio Hours with Rob Froese: This time is meant as an advisory/reference opportunity for
artists, potters and those interested in ceramic art.

The first drop-in time will be held on Saturday, October 9, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
